What Airtally reads
Airtally reads public records of the station you look up: its FCC facility record and the folder and file listings of its online public inspection file, with upload dates. Your browser requests the listings directly from publicfiles.fcc.gov; the station search and facility record go through our server (a read-only pass-through, because the FCC's search service does not accept browser requests). Our server sees the call sign or facility ID you searched for, as any web server sees the address requested; it does not keep a record of the results.
Your results
The check runs in JavaScript in your browser. Results and downloads are created in the tab and saved by your browser to your computer; they are not sent to us. Closing the tab discards them. Your settings (EEO setting, last call sign) are remembered in your browser's local storage on that computer only.
What our server receives
- Normal web requests to load the pages and the FCC pass-through (IP address, browser, time, the path requested), processed by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, in short-lived logs for security.
- When you buy, the Paddle transaction ID and the email used at checkout, which our server checks with Paddle to confirm the payment and issue your license key. The key contains the license tier, the station or licensee name (if any), the expiry date, the transaction ID and a short reference.
Payments
Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record and processes your name, email, billing address and payment details under its own privacy notice (paddle.com/legal/privacy). We receive order details from Paddle to provide support and refunds.
Stored in your browser
Your license key and settings are kept in your browser's local storage so you do not have to enter them again. Remove the key with "Remove from this browser" in the app, or clear the site data.
Counting visits, without tracking
To learn whether Airtally is useful, our server keeps daily totals of five events: landing page viewed, sample opened, own station checked, checkout opened and purchase completed, each with the campaign tags of the link you came from (utm_source or ref, utm_campaign and utm_content, for example "email"). It stores no IP address, cookie, browser details, name, email address, call sign or result, so a total cannot be linked to you. Your IP address is used only for a moment to drop repeated or automated requests and is not stored. Your browser keeps a "sent" mark in session storage so a reload is not counted twice; it is deleted when you close the tab. Airtally uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for access, correction or deletion of personal data we hold (in practice, purchase records) at the email above, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
